Working on a 2020 Freewheeler and tried changing the battery, but that panel's acting up. Anyone know how to get it off? Starting to wonder if Harley designed it to test our patience.

I had to tackle this issue on a friend's 2020 Freewheeler. The side panel is secured with a few stubborn snap clips, so it's best to start from the top and work your way down carefully. Taking off the lower fairing cover first can really make things easier. It's classic Harley, looks sleek, but it definitely requires a bit of finesse.

There usually are hidden clips or screws, and you'll need a plastic pry tool to pop it off without breaking anything. Did you check under the seat or around the fender for any fasteners? Harley loves making things tricky for sure and its quite annoying at some point

Harley's design challenges like that panel are just lazy engineering disguised as style. They rely too much on brand loyalty instead of making bikes user-friendly, frustrating riders who just want simple maintenance
